Come join one of BC’s Top Employers! We are seeking a seasoned Trades 2 Carpenter to join our Facilities team. If you are flexible and a quick learner, we are looking for you to join our team!

 

Reporting to the Lead Hand Carpenter, you will apply your versatile, journeyman level skills to a wide range of applications. Working with a high degree of independence, your responsibilities will include performing skilled carpentry work in the construction, renovation, repair and maintenance of buildings, furniture, tool boxes, fences, floors, doors, windows and related facilities from as-built drawings, sketches and verbal orders. You will also perform a variety of semi-skilled trades maintenance tasks such as plumbing, painting, concrete finishing and roofing for Municipal buildings, facilities and structures and act as a Crew Lead and/or Site Coordinator as required.

 

Along with a B.C. Certificate of Qualification (Carpenter), you have completed a recognized apprenticeship and gained sound journeyman experience. You also have the ability to supervise others and manage small to medium projects.  A Driver’s License for the Province of BC is required.

 

A CUPE hourly rate of $38.89 is offered along with a competitive benefits package and an earned day off program is offered.
