Duties and Responsibilities: -Assist with major construction projects, including liaison with Owners, Consulting Engineers and Subcontractors -Assist with preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule -Review and process shop drawings -Coordination of material and equipment needs -Prepare weekly productivity and cost tracking -Prepare cost estimates for change order and audit purposes -Price site instructions, work orders and change notices -Assist with quality assurance and management of client expectations -Prepare monthly progress application and expedite payment -Provide document turnover to client at completion of project -Trouble-shoot and resolve issues in a timely manner -Provide other technical office support as required by operations personnel -Assist with maintenance of project files and preparation of reports -Participate in on-site safety meetings and be a leader of initiatives Skills and Qualifications: -Technical background; Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or -Construction Engineering Technology required -3 or more years of field and/or construction experience in a related role required -Previous experience in a safety leadership role considered an asset -Able to travel and spend extended periods of time in rural areas on a consistent basis -High level of organization and time management skills -Exceptional interpersonal and client management skills -Highly motivated and able to complete assignments with minimal direct supervision -Valid class 5 drivers licence with an acceptable drivers’ abstract record -Ability to work in the field on an on-going, in and out schedule We thank all applicants for their interest in the position but only those identified for further consideration will be contacted
